Whether you’re looking to add a little cool weather accessory to your wardrobe from the new Oaklandish mini shop at Brooklyn Basin, book an hour SUP from our friends at California Canoe and Kayak to cruise the Oakland waters, or stock up on your holiday staples from Rocky’s Market, the waterfront is a magical place in winter. If you want to venture a little further from home, here are a few winter events we are looking forward to this season.

December 3, Oakland First Fridays. Tis the season to celebrate our unique community. The December event is the one stop shop for all your holiday needs; from jewelry to art and everything in between.

December 4, Snowflakes at the Waterfront. Enjoy a variety of upbeat, fun activities including selfies with Santa, giant snowflake photo station, a seek-and-find scavenger hunt for prizes, and free offers from JLS tenants. You can also write your own personal messages of hope and love on foam snowflakes to be displayed at the JLS waterfront throughout the holidays. Come back at 4pm and catch the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir’s 36th Annual Holiday Concert. Stick around for the Lighted Yacht Parade starting at 5:30pm or enjoy the show from the comfort of your rooftop at Orion.
