October 2, 9, 16, 23 + 30, Water St. Makers. Happening every Sunday from 11am-4pm in the historic Jack London Square, located on the water in Oakland.
October 3, Disability Awareness Night. The Oakland A’s will honor Disability Awareness Month with a portion of every ticket sold benefiting the Special Olympics Northern California and Nevada.
October 6, Fall Waterfront Flicks. Bring a blanket and head to Jack London Square’s Marina Lawn located near Heinold's for the Fall Movie Nights.
October 7, Oakland First Fridays – Korean Culture Fest. Oakland First Fridays provides a platform for different cultures to share their histories, traditions, and cultural expressions. Join the celebration of Korean art, culture and accomplishments.
October 8, Top Gun San Francisco Fleet Week Cruise Air Show Feat The Blue Angels. Take the journey out of Jack London Square and cruise all the way under the Bay Bridge to San Francisco to watch the Air Show.
October 13-15, 11th Annual Autumn Lights Festival. Art and nature enthusiasts will delight in a one-of-a-kind interactive art experience at Oakland's Lake Merritt.
October 14, Oh Deer! Buck Wild Comedy Nights. Join the Friday festivities at Buck Wild Brewing and see all the best comics to ever perform in Oakland.
October 16, Fall Craft Day at the Taphouse. Get down with Crooked City Cider Tap House’s crafty instructor as you make a spooky rainbow to add to your Halloween decorations.
October 20, Blood Drive. Jack London Square has partnered up with Vitalant to host a Blood Drive in the Bloodmobile located in the plaza near Plank.
October 22, DogFest. Canine Companions will be hosting their annual DogFest at Jack London Square with costume contests, prizes, doggy treats, people + pooch crafts, pet photos and service dog demos.
October 22, Pop-Up Magazine: Love Stories. This multimedia experience will explore powerful, hilarious, and moving stories about love in different forms: marriage, friendship, redemption, and more at the Paramount.
October 22-31, Boo at the Zoo. Calling all ghosts, goblins, and witches – head to the Oakland Zoo for a family-friendly Halloween event with a spooky animal-themed scavenger hunt.
October 24, Yoshi's presents Top Shelf Classics. Top Shelf's Monday Night Soul Soiree is an explosive evening paying tribute to icons from pop, soul, funk, motown n’ more.
October 27, Haunted Howl-o-ween Party for Dogs at Wag Hotels Oakland. Grab your pups and enjoy a spooktacular time exploring the haunted hotel, with tricks and treats around every corner!
October 28-29, Oakland Ballet Company Presents: Luna Mexicana. Luna Mexicana is one of the Bay Area’s most elaborate and inclusive Dia de los Muertos events.
October 30, Halloween Dia de los Muertos. Head to Jack London Square for Dia De Los Muertos family fun with a DJ, chalk artists, face painting, crafts, pumpkins, costume contest, mariachis, dancers and more.

Sundays, Jack London Square Farmers' Market. Founded in 1989, the Jack London Square Farmers Market has deep roots in Oakland, offering local produce and food craft products. The Market provides a weekly opportunity for the community to enjoy a variety of vendors along the beautiful waterfront property. Market hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday.
